OOTD: Chilling In The City Rack And Topshop

Hey guys! It's Sunday and I am so completely tired from work lately. I've just finished a ten hours shift and I can tell you now that writing this is a struggle, I'm so tired! I thought I'd do my best anyway. I do love to write a blog post when I've got some time. I did get told I'm getting promoted though so all this tiredness is going to be worth the extra money. Anyway I thought I'd share with you this outfit featuring Topshop and The City Rack*.

So I've been out quite a bit lately but I thought I'd share something more casual. I love casual outfits and being able to just chill out in them but still look nice and I think this is a perfect example. It's the type of thing I'd wear to go to a friend's house or something, which is all I really feel like doing lately! I took my dogs with my to get a few snaps but I wouldn't usually wear this on a dog walk. It's quite muddy around my house and those leggings would just get ruined.

I was sort of channelling my previous love for rock music and band tees and stuff with this Metallica top from Topshop. I do still love that sort of music but my style has changed so much since then. I hate looking back at old pictures! I felt like the black and white striped leggings from The City Rack* (£12.99 but currently £8.00 on sale!) sort of matched that edgy sort of vibe and I was thinking of Beetlejuice when I put them on.

I finished the outfit off with a cross ring from Topshop as well as a few bracelets I've collected from who knows where over the years. The nail polish is from Essence and it's in the shade Love Me, Cupcake!*. Oh, and a nice casual braid which is always great when you're having a bad hair day and don't have a lot of time.

I don't know if any of the Topshop items or bracelets are available still but you can definitely get your hands on the leggings from The City Rack if you're looking for a really soft and comfortable pair of leggings with an edgier look to them.

P.S. how cute is my dog? I love her.

What I Wore In California / My Holiday In Cali

Hi guys! No idea how I'm still getting blog posts out of my holiday which was ages ago now, it seems. But I am! And since today I have had absolutely nothing to do, I figured I'd do an extra post (even though today's post was already and extra post. So this is an extra extra post.) It's sort of a mixture between a fashion post and lifestyle, since I wanted to show some of the outfits I wore but I also wanted to write about my holiday for my own enjoyment and possibly it will interest some of you as well.

I still haven't done the fashion haul from California, which is going to be another post coming up soon but some of these pictures show some of the things I bought anyway.

I went to Hollywood one day which I thought was super exciting and I wore this dress from Primark (£14ish) with a pair of shoes from Shoe Zone (£10ish*), a bag from Primark which didn't really match (£4ish) and sunglasses from Topshop (£18ish).

Hollywood wasn't quite as exciting as I was expecting but it was fun to see some of the names on the ground. I was desperate to find something Harry Potter-related but had no luck. James Franco was about the most interesting I found. They also had a picture of Eminem in a sweet shop made out of M&Ms which I greatly appreciated.

That is me in Hollywood again with a sign that says my name. :--) The perfect height for a picture. Well not really but we got it in.

I also forced my family to go to Disneyland which was as amazing as Disneyland ever is. I've never come across the Matterhorn in any other Disneyland parks so it was fun to give that a go even though it was the most painful ride of my life. And they had Splash Mountain which they don't have in the Disneyland in Paris so I basically cried with happiness and died right there.

My Disneyland outfit wasn't very nice. I was in a rush and just wanted to slip something on which would mean I wouldn't get too hot and also wouldn't sunburn. The top is from Primark (£4). I promise Primark isn't all I wear. The skirt is from H&M (£7ish) and I'm wearing Topshop socks (£4ish) and Converse. I wish I'd managed to put together an outfit I liked more but life goes on.

I also went to Balboa Park in San Diego which is basically just a pretty place with a load of museums and stuff and San Diego zoo is also in it, though I didn't go there. I went to an art gallery and they had some great pieces there - I always get excited when gallerys have famous artists' work in there and I believe there was some Frans Hals and possibly Renoir, I can't remember now. I look so grumpy in this picture! The top is from the Kendall & Kylie collection in Pacsun and the shorts are also from Pacsun.

This was the pool I spent basically a whole week in when we stayed in Temecula. The house was in the middle of the desert so it was absolutely boiling and I was so afraid of getting sunburn that I sat in the shade the entire time. I encountered many lizards while staying here. The sunglasses are Topshop again, the shorts are Pacsun, and the bandeau is from Victoria's Secret.

And this is the amazing sunset I got to watch every single night from the garden. I was here for July 4th so I got to watch a load of fireworks that night too. They were tiny because they were so far in the distance but it was still amazing to watch.

And this is the beach by the other house we stayed in in Laguna Beach. We found a little tunnel thing (I can't remember the actual name for them...) and some rock pools with little crabs in. They were adorable. I loved Laguna Beach but every day started off so grey and it didn't get bright until around midday whereas Temecula was bright from early on. The top in the picture is from Boohoo and the shorts are from Topshop. The flipflops I'm holding are from Ipanema*. I have a giveaway of Ipanema which ends tomorrow and a review of their flip flops here.

I had a lot of fun and enjoyed some great and some awful meals. Just to say now that KFC in America is the most awful place I've ever been to. I also hate Taco Bell with a passion. And they need to get better cheese that you don't have to hunt for hours for. I don't think I could live in America simply for the lack of nice cheese.

This is quite different to my usual posts but I hope you enjoyed reading it or at least looking at some of the pictures!

Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Micellar Cleansing Fluid Review

Hey guys! Today I have got a review of the Eucerin Miceallar Cleansing Fluid* which is currently available on sale on Escentual for £7.19.

This is described as 'convenient facial cleanser, eye makeup-up remover and toner in one product. It contains a very effective yet mild cleansing complex and nature-derived actives.' It is also free of fragrance, parabens, alcohol and colours which is amazing since it means it's not going to be doing nasty things to your skin like a lot of other products, particularly many face wipes, would do. Clinical & opthalmological studies have proven it's suitable for contact lens wearers and sensitive skin. It's nice to have it say it's actually suitable rather than just it 'has been tested' which many products do lately and i think is really misleading.

The Cotton Pad Test:

I've been applying this with a cotton pad as is recommended. A good test I like to do is how many cotton pads does it use. The fewer the better. I usually get away with one for each eye and two to three for the face and neck with this, which I'd say is the same for most good products I use. So it's passed the first test.

The Eye Pain Test:

I have eyes which do not enjoy many things in and around their general area. So if a product irritates my eyes then it's just going straight away. I can confirm that this did not irritate my eyes. When I first used it I kind of thought that it did but ever since then it hasn't. I think it's because it was insanely hot outside or something. Who knows, maybe I was just having a bad eye day.

The Smell Test:

Something having a smell I dislike will definitely put me off it. This has a really faint smell which I actually don't particularly like. It definitely has more of a smell than other cleansing waters I've encountered but really it's hardly noticeable and I haven't stopped using this and don't notice it when I'm not specifically trying to find a smell for review purposes.

The 'How Clean Is My Flannel' Test:

Okay this title is weird but I consider it highly valid. I tend to follow up cleaners such as this with a cleansing oil which I then wash off with a flannel. If it comes off with a load of makeup on the flannel I am not going to be a happy bunny. There was still some foundation on the flannel as is expected but nothing too bad. About the same as other products I use. I don't consider this a bad thing since I would never normally only using a cleansing water anyway and wouldn't recommend it since it may not remove all of the dirt.

The Spots Test:

Did I get spots from this product? The answer is no. I don't know if it's due to a change in other products, a change in cleanser, or simply my skin's natural course but I actually have less spots now.

Okay I've given up on the whole 'test' thing now. I thought this was a good product all in all. It removed my makeup well and can be used on the eyes as well as the face which is a huge plus for me. The only negative point about it is that it left my skin feeling a little sticky afterwards. Since I wouldn't use this alone anyway this isn't a huge negative since the stickiness went away as soon as I'd used a cleansing oil over the top. Having said that, since it left a stickiness I probably wouldn't use it in my morning skincare routine since for that all I really want is something to quickly swipe over my skin and not have to worry about.

The bottle is 200ml so I think you'd get around 100 uses from this. It does normally cost £9 which, when compared to other cleansing water I prefer, is more. For example, the Garnier Micellar Water is around £5 and contains 400ml so is much better value. The Garnier Water didn't have any effect on reducing my spots, however, which this may have done, so it really depends what you're looking for in the product.

If you're interested in purchasing this, get it from Escentual while it's on sale since it's currently cheaper there than Boots and other places. Let me know if you've tried this product and what you think, or just tell me your favourite product for removing makeup in the comments! I always love recommendations.

OOTD / Ipanema Flip Flops Giveaway!

Hello, and welcome to another fashion post! I do love a good outfit of the day but it's finding the people to take the pictures that makes it a bit of a task. But anyway, I've managed it! (Applause welcomed.) OH, and to make this post more exciting for YOU, I've got a sneaky giveaway for you hosted by my favourite place for all things sandal-related - Ipanema!

You might recall a previous post of mine in which I discussed ROSAvelt. Well they were so kind as to send me these printed glitter shorts* which I am so in love with. They're SO sparkly and shiny and amazing. I was amazed that the glitter didn't fall off everywhere either. First glittery item of clothing that hasn't turned me into a disco ball, I think.

I was really feeling the black and gold vibes, as you can probably tell. I love that black top so much and wear it at pretty much every opportunity. I got it from Topshop last year but you can get a similar one from boohoo and probably a lot of other places. I also wear the fedora at every opportunity. I honestly just think that hats like this make an outfit look so much nicer. I think I'm feeling some heavy Harry Styles / Perrie Edwards influence here. The hat is from H&M and I think I've linked you to the right one there! It's hard to tell in the picture.

It greatly excites me that the shoes match so well too in terms of colours. I think that there's a lot of different shoes you could wear with this look depending on where you're going but since it's been absolutely BOILING lately there was no way I was going to wear socks which most shoes require. These shoes from Ipanema* were perfect for the weather and the outfit because they're super sparkly too and tied in with the black and gold. Give this blog post a little read if you want some in-depth information about the flip flops since, to me, they're not just your average flip flop (hence why I got another pair).

Okay, so enough raving about my love for glitter and shiny things and onto the giveaway. Ipanema have kindly offered to give a pair of flip flops worth £50 to the winner! I wish I was the one winning them! Just enter below to be in with a chance and I'll contact you via twitter once the winner has been selected!

American Beauty Haul: Mac, Nars, Tarte, Nyx, Eyeko, Wet N Wild, And More!

Hi guys! While I was in California I allocated myself a certain amount of money to spend purely on cosmetics and clothing and, of course, I had to spend every last penny. I tried to get things either that we don't have in the UK or I can't get near me in the UK, or things I knew I was going to inevitably buy in the future anyway since this felt like guilty free purchasing to me since I was on holiday.

These first two things aren't really things I'm excited about. I just went into the airport and my mum bought a magazine which just happened to come with this mascara and I then saw a magazine with a free Eyeko eyeliner and couldn't help but buy it since the RRP is like £22 and I basically got it for £2. Admittedly, the Company mascara isn't good. I doubt I'll ever use it except perhaps on top of another mascara. I like mascara to give me lots of volume and this mascara didn't do that at all. The eyeliner is in the shade Navy which I mistakingly got thinking it was going to be black, but I'm not too fussed since I haven't got a navy eyeliner but I've got plenty of black ones. I've worn this a couple of times and I can't say it's any match for my L'Oreal eyeliner which I mention here if you want to read more about it.

I had a bit of trouble with the old burning of the lips which was TRAUMATIC for me so I got my beloved father to purchase some Blistex Moisture Melt protecting lip balm because it had an SPF of 15. I did not want to sunburn ANY MORE and I didn't which was great. I also hopped on down to CVS, thinking they were going to sell Sonia Kashuk which they did not. Great. Thanks CVS. But instead, I bought some of the things they did have which was a L'Oreal balm stick thing, a Revlon sparkly balm stick thing, a Nyx butter gloss, a Nyx butter lipstick and a Wet N Wild Palette. If you want to know what these are ACTUALLY called, you're going to have to watch my Youtube video because my feels are telling me not to stand up and look right now. You can probably guess anyway - they're the chubby sticks.

This palette was amazing when I was in California. I only used the left hand side but I thought it was really great to get a look suitable for day and night and I was SO lazy with makeup so that was a real saviour.

And THE MOST EXCITING PART is the high end stuff I got. I had a list of things I wanted to buy while I was there. Admittedly, I didn't get everything on that list but I got things which I think will love just as much. Probably more, really.

Firstly, I walked into Sephora and had to resist all of the many displays, but there was one display I couldn't resist and that was the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I don't regret buying this - it's much easier to use than some of my other eyebrow pencils or using a powder. I also bought a Nars blush because I don't own any which is one of life's struggles. I got it in the shade 'Super Orgasm' because I figured I wouldn't just go for straight up 'Orgasm' and be a bit different. I do regret this decision now as Super Orgasm is REALLY sparkly but I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it anyway.

Then I walked into another Sephora (there seems to be a lot of them around...) and spent a good half hour looking at the Amazonian Clay Powder Foundation before deciding I didn't NEED another foundation and especially not for that money. So instead I bought an Amazonian Clay blush in the shade 'Blissful'. I wish I'd got one which was more red in colour now since I don't have any red blushers but I've got plenty in this sort of pink.

And finally, I had a fair few dollars left and I wanted to spend them so I found my way to a Mac Store and decided to just get two cult favourites I'd been dying to try, and I got a Mineralise Skin Finish in 'Soft & Gentle' and a lipstick in 'Creme Cup'. I'm loving Soft & Gentle since I don't have a powder highlighter (I actually can never find any??? recommend some to me if you know of any), and Creme Cup is also such a nice colour. It's really subtle which is what I want out of a lipstick.

And that, my friends, is it! If you want reviews of any of these products feel free to request, and I shall provide. And make sure to watch my Youtube video which will be up on my channel very soon! Subscribe to me or follow my twitter to see when it's up. Also comment telling me your opinions of these products or any recommendations of things you think I'd like!

OOTD: California Pacsun / Kendall & Kylie Collection And Shoe Zone (Again)

Okay so I've been stressing out about how gross my blog looks right now so yes, I am posting twice in one day. I truly cannot stand it any longer.

So anyway, I went to California as I've said about 800 times and I bought many an item. I will be doing a post and (hopefully) a video up about everything but for now, here's a little teaser with with two of the items I bought from Pacsun.

It was super hot in California since I was staying in the desert so most of the time I lived in a bikini but the times I went out for a meal or shopping I had to put on actual clothes and I was so in love with this top, I wanted to wear it every day since buying it.

I can't find the shorts or the top on the Pacsun website - I think they might not be selling the shorts anymore. There was a huge sale on though so they weren't much at all. The top is from the Kendall & Kylie collection <3

Oh, and I'm wearing my Shoe Zone shoes* again which I lived in for the entire holiday, though I managed to cover them in sun cream and have been too lazy to wash it off since. I'm loving the sliders trend so much, I think they look great with almost any outfit.

Look how beautiful the view from the garden of the house I was staying in is though! I was there for July 4th and at night time there were fireworks all over the lit up city, it was amazing. The sunset every day was so beautiful too.

Oh and look how pretty the back of this shirt is. And the phone in my pocket...

Anyway that's it for my outfit post! I'm relieved to have it on my blog to make it look a little nicer again. It has been getting to me for a while now.

Travel Essentials: The Hand Luggage Bag From Bag4Flight!

Hi guys! As you may already know, I recently went to California for two weeks. It was absolutely amazing and I'm going to have a few California-related blog posts coming up. I've already done a few to do with packing such as my travel makeup bag but today I'm here to talk about this multi-airline handluggage bag* from Bag4Flight which retails at £11.99!

This bag is perfect for travelling with 95% of the world's major airlines since it fits within the hand luggage limit. It's also only 500g which is a complete lifesaver because it's so lightweight. My family had to lug around heavy suitcases while I had this which was much lighter. Admittedly it was still quite heavy but I can only blame myself for my large amount of makeup. I'm also a very weak person which made me think I would have preferred this bag if it did have wheels since they're much easier to drag around.

It's made from water resistant, recyclable nylon polyster which means you could also take it on the beach if you wanted and also that your stuff is well protected from water!

It's also quite large. When standing, it comes up to just above my knee. I found its size to be great because it could fit a lot of stuff in it. The same amount as a small suitcase, I'd say. It has two zips too which can allow for some strategic placing of items. I put my book on the top near the top zip in case I wanted to read on the plane (which I didn't thanks to all the movies) and my phone, camera, face wipes and stuff I wanted for the flight or in the airport near the side zip. there is also a storage compartment inside which is good for separating your stuff out.

All in all, this is a really practical bag in a nice colour. I actually think that I'm going to take it to Reading festival with me because it's water-resistant and lightweight. Last year I took an awful, heavy thing and I had to pay people to carry it for me. I think I'd be able to manage carrying this.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to take a large bag on holiday with them for hand luggage. It's also really cheap at only £11.99 which is why I think it'd be great for festivals too since it's not so expensive that you'd be upset if it got muddy or damaged. Head to Bag4flight if you want to buy one for yourself, and you can also use the code 15INTHEBAG to get 15% off everything.

ROSAvelt + 1,500 Followers Giveaway!

Hi guys! Today I've got a pretty exciting post (or I think so anyway)! Around the time that I hit 1,500 followers on Bloglovin' (thanks everyone!), I came across ROSAvelt and fell in love with some of their pieces. In fact, most of their clothing caught me eye. I think they've got some great stuff for weddings and just people who like shiny and colourful things in general. The exciting part here is that they've agreed to do a giveaway on my blog! I thought I'd make it a sort of gift to my readers for 1,500 followers while also introducing you to some beautiful clothing which I really don't think is available in many places.

I've picked out a few of my favourite pieces which would be perfect for a wedding or a posh night out or simply if you like to look fancy as often as possible. They've also got some slightly more casual pieces but I'm most excited by these!

Okay so these three dresses are three of my favourites but really there's so many more which are just as gorgeous. You can see their entire collection of dresses here. The first is the Gold Brocade Pleated Dress (£75.00) and this is possibly my favourite item from the entire website. Not only is it a gorgeous and unique colour but it's also a beautiful cut. I could completely see myself wearing it to a wedding because of the colours. The second is the Gold Checkered Jacquard Tulip Dress (£99.00) which I think would be great if you're going to something like the races or just a formal event. And the last of my picks is the Lemon Yellow Embroidered Chiffon Dress (£45.00) which is more of a girly, feminine dress in my opinion. This is one which you could wear to both formal and slightly less formal events, in my opinion, particularly in the Spring and Summer.

If you're looking for something a little different to those three dresses, here are a few more I'm loving! These can be found in the silk collection.

While some of these might seem quite expensive, they are good quality dresses made out of materials such as silk which is always going to be on the pricier side. Plus, if you are on a budget but still looking for something as good quality and unique as this, they've got a Summer Sale on right now which is worth looking at!

You can enter via Rafflecopter! The prize is this beach bag but if you'd prefer a backpack, you can have one of those!

Guest Post: Good Things Come In Small Packages

Hi guys! Today's post is one from the lovely lady at theravingsofaninsomniac - I hope you enjoy it and be sure to check out her blog!

This one is dedicated to all the little guys. I've always believed in you. Maybe partially because I am one of you.

EcoTools Essential Eye Kit Highlighting Brush
Easily one of the best fluffy brushes I've ever used. This little guy comes from a great kit with five equally good quality brushes, but this one is my favorite. It's a tad stiff, just enough so that you could easily control where the product goes, but plenty soft and the bristles blend product out to perfection. I also really like this for applying "out there" shades, as it tends to mute them out and make them a bit more wearable.

C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm
This is such a hidden gem! You pop a thick layer on at night and when you wake up the balm is still on your lips, working its magic. Now that it's summer I find myself needing it less because my lips are not as dry as the desert, but still this is a real lifesaver on those dry-ass days.

Sephora Facial Cleansing Pad
I believe there is a L'Oreal cleanser that gives you one of these cleansing pads with the product, but it's not the brand that matters. These silicone cleansing pads have little silicone arms. You either put some cleanser on the pad and massage onto the face, or you use the pad to scrub the cleanser off the face. Either way, this pad allows you to get into your pores and clean out the leftover gunk from the day. I can't go a day without mine.

Tarte Maracuja Oil
This little baby sample is great. Maracuja oil is passionfruit oil, so if you see an oil marketed under either of these names just know that they're the same. Maracuja oil is known to be a miracle oil because it promotes cell collagen, can help with anti-aging, has anti-inflammatory properties, and quenches dry and dehydrated skin. One or two drops of this is plenty to cover the face. It absorbs instantly and leaves your skin feeling like a thousand bucks. I like to mix it in with the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask for a great overnight treatment.

The Face Shop Soul Promise Ring
I think that with perfumes they're either in huuuuuge bottles or cute little ones. This one is the latter. The packaging is simple and nothing to hit home about, but the fragrance is incredible. This perfume smells like jasmine tea mixed with a sweet subtle green tea scent. It's to die for. I could sit around all day sniffing it.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
This is one of the best books I've ever read. It's about a man that dies and goes to Heaven and meets five people (as the title implies, haha). They each teach him a valuable lesson about his life and why it panned out like it did. I won't lie to you; this book is a little sad but it's an excellent read.

Moto G
Last, but definitely not least, my beloved cell phone. This phone is slim, sleek, and super functional.

Review: L'Oreal Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer

I've raved about this primer time and time again. It's one product that has genuinely impressed me so much and does everything I'd hoped it would do. Usually I find a product and it claims to do so much but never actually does it, or at least not to the extent I'd like it to. This primer, however, does everything it says and more.

Now I'll be honest, when I first opened it I was a little bit sceptical. It's a sort of pinkish, spongey-feeling thing. It really does feel weird. But when you put it on your skin that pink blends into your skin and it creates such a smooth, matte texture. I haven't used any other primer which has given me such a matte look and made my makeup last for so long. I haven't noticed my makeup going on any smoother from it but I don't really think I would notice that since I don't have any problems with it anyway and don't care much for smoother application. It definitely does fill in pores though. It is good at everything a primer should be good at but the reason I love it so much is because it is so mattifying and I think that's the main feature of it which would be a reason to repurchase, which I certainly will.

So at £14.29 it is more on the expensive side of drugstore products but I'd say it is high end quality anyway so it's a great price. I completely recommend this to anybody with oily or normal skin who wants their makeup to last longer or just have more of a matte finish. It might not be the best for dry skin, however, and you might want to check out Baby Skin which I have a review of here since that's less mattifying.

June Favourites

Hey guys! It seems like forever since I last did a favourites! I think I might actually have only done one before, I'm not sure! Anyway, here it is! I've actually been loving a lot of things lately but I decided to narrow it down to the few things which really stood out to me.

The first is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. We've all heard about how good these things are and I wanted to find out what all the hype was! I love it because you can remove your eye makeup and face makeup with it easily. I've been using it every day since I bought it. I follow it up with a cleansing oil or a cleanser as well since it doesn't feel like quite enough alone but I'm still in love.

I've also been loving my Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Eye Treatment. I just put a little bit of this under my eyes as soon as I wake up and let it sink in to reduce puffiness and make applying concealer a lot easier. It really does wonders for the puffiness!

I think I may have mentioned my love for the Revlon Lip Butters in a post already but this little baby is completely my new favourite lip product. I want to pick up some more shades. I love that they're quite sheer but provide a good amount of colour and are also so moisturising. I feel like I'm wearing lip balm when I've got it on. It takes a lot for me to love a lip product this much but Revlon have definitely done it.

The next product I've been loving is the Maybelline Dream Touch blush which I've reviewed before but I'm really loving it lately. I like how thin the formula is and it gives just the right amount of colour. I usually put a powder blush on top as well since it's really hot lately but I have been wearing this every day.

Real Techniques have also made an appearance to my favourites this month. This is the Base Shadow brush. I don't know what the actual purpose of this brush is but I've been using it to blend my eyeshadows. It's so fluffy so it's perfect for this. Sometimes I also use it to give a light dusting of colour if I don't feel like having a lot of eyeshadow on.

In terms of fashion, I've been loving my fedora and baggy trousers lately. I expect 'baggy trousers' isn't the correct term for the exact style I like but I don't know what else to call them. I think my love for the fedora has come from some combination of Harry Styles and Perrie Edwards. I think a lot of people must know Harry loves a good fedora, and Perrie was wearing a similar hat to mine when I saw her at the One Direction concert in Manchester I went to and she just looked so nice, it really rekindled my love. I actually think the baggy trousers thing might have something to do with Perrie as well. I absolutely adore that woman and her clothing. Anyway since I didn't include a good picture here, you can look at my previous post for good pictures and watch my youtube video to see the hat.

And that is everything I've been loving this month! Well, no, not everything, but a small glimpse into the things I've been using a lot! Let me know in the comments what products you've been loving because I need to know what products I should buy next!

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

Okay so I can only apologise about these pictures! I had to do them in a hurry before I packed my case! Anyway, I did a post on packing for holiday and thought I'd focus on my makeup bag to let you all know what beauty items I'll be taking with me!

To start with lips (since I think I've gone a bit over the top with them), I basically just packed so I'd have a colour for every situation. I've got nude, red, brights and more subtle colours. I can't imagine I'll wear all of them but JUST IN CASE! I've also got with me a lip scrub because I use it a lot. In the full spirit of Summer, I decided to take Santa's Lip Scrub with me.

Skincare items are quite important but I didn't want to take too much with me. I settled for the trusty Garnier Micellar water, a cleansing oil, a moisturiser with SPF and a 'Good Morning Eye Treatment'. I'm very concerned about explosions occurring in my bag but I'm just going to hope that doesn't happen!

I didn't want to take expensive face items because I'm worried about them exploding or smashing or something. I've got a mattifying primer (L'Oreal Studio Secrets), two foundations (L'Oreal True Match and Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid) to mix together, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, a BB Cream and a highlighter / skin brightener by MUA. I also decided to take Benefit's Watts Up but that isn't pictured.

Again trying not to take too many high end products, I decided on my trusty Maybelline cream blush, a Bourjois Little Round Pot, the NYC Big Bold bronzer, The Body Shop Honey bronzer and the Sleek Pink Lemonade Palette. All of this is keeping in mind that it's likely to be very hot in California so I tried to stick to products that will work well in hot weather.

I really had to limit myself with eye products. I really don't think I'm going to use a lot since I'll be by the pool or the sea most days (I think) but I had to plan for everything! I've got my little primer samples from Urban Decay, three Maybelline Colour Tattoos, two MUA palettes (matte and shimmery so I'll have something for every mood), two mascaras and an eyeliner. I've blogged about basically everything before which is why I'm keeping this short! I also took with me my Too Faced Joy To The Girls palette but that isn't pictured.

I'm not putting this in my hand luggage since I've decided to travel in no makeup completely. I'm not too worried about people seeing my naked face and I've got sunglasses to hide behind anyway! I know this post was quite short and snappy but I've provided some links to give you more information on some of the products mentioned which hopefully will help if you want to know more!

Let me know what you think of some of the products I've chosen and what your favourite items to travel with are!
